The UV-based metallic coating Mirafoil was applied partially before printing (sharp chess figures). This was followed – having printed – with the full-area use of a UV-based gloss varnish out of the coating unit. For an even stronger effect and to further emphasize the metallic shine of the chess pieces, we decided to apply a UV dull matt coating from the printing unit.
