Our September motif shows a composition of Mirafoil before printing, TerraCross Soft Touch varnish and UV based gloss varnish.
Before printing, Mirafoil was partially applied to the spectacle frame. Having printed, our TerraCross Soft Touch varnish was used in the background and on the miniature. The partial UV gloss varnishing set targeted highlights and the focus of the picture.
The result: reflecting, polished glasses with a metallic shimmery frame on a matt velvety surface.

Modern glasses do not only compensate for visual defects. For example, tinting can relieve the strain on the eyes or coatings may ensure that glasses are less sensitive towards dirt particles. In a few words: Modern eyewear offers a lot of extra performance. TerraCross can also score points by offering added value. Comparable to classic water-based coatings with regard to their structure, they develop their full range of properties by means of UV radiation. Thus, UV curing water-based coatings combine the high mechanical resistance of UV coatings with the flexibility of water-based coatings.
