Hoopoe

The hoopoe is a funny-looking bird with a pretty feather cap. It needs semi-open to open landscapes rich in insects, and it breeds in tree or wall holes. Depending on the species, this animal can be found in different parts of the world. In some areas, however, the hoopoe is threatened, as this heat-loving bird is significantly influenced by climate fluctuations. In addition, the hoopoe is particularly affected by the intensification of agriculture, the high use of pesticides and a loss of suitable breeding cavities.
