ACTEGA and FUJIFILM Partnership Enhances Print Resolution
One of 2024’s most notable highlights? ACTEGA’s new partnership with FUJIFILM! Together, ACTEGA and FUJIFILM are set to integrate the 46kUV Inkjet Printbar into the evolutionary ECOLEAF metallization technology, taking its print resolution to the next level. This collaboration marks another step forward for ECOLEAF in setting the standard for sustainable, high-quality and full digital label embellishment. Beyond this, ACTEGA Metal Print supports VskE, the German association for self-adhesive label and narrow web converters. Representatives from VskE visited ACTEGA in September 2024 to see the latest advances made to ECOLEAF technology and how it will benefit the labels industry. Collaborations such as this reflect our dedication to driving innovation and enable us to continue setting new benchmarks for excellence.
ECOLEAF Wins 2024 FINAT Sustainability Award for Reducing Environmental Impact
Last year, ECOLEAF also proved to be a vanguard of sustainability, earning the prestigious 2024 FINAT Sustainability Award for Reduction of Environmental Impact. Presented at the Sustainable Packaging Summit in Amsterdam, this recognition highlights ECOLEAF’s revolutionary approach of applying metallization only where it’s needed, eliminating the need for PET carrier films and foil reels. The result of which significantly reduces waste and plastic usage, as well as minimizes the environmental impact associated with producing and disposing of these plastics.
Global Recognition and Sustainability Impact in 2024
ECOLEAF’s On Demand Metallization technology continued to gain global recognition, taking centre stage at prominent trade shows worldwide. From Germany, Netherlands, UK and to the U.S., ECOLEAF has captured worldwide attention. At drupa, visitors were drawn to the technology’s ability to reduce the carbon footprint of On Demand Metallization embellishment by over 80%. Paolo Grasso, Sales Director for ECOLEAF, also delivered a thought-provoking talk which shed light on how innovations like ECOLEAF empower brand owners to strike a balance between aesthetic appeal and sustainability in their label embellishment.
At Labelexpo Americas, striking samples of ECOLEAF’s sustainable metallic embellishments sparked engaging discussions about the future of sustainable labels and packaging.
