WESSCO^® Low Migration Coatings

This is a portfolio of low migration UV coatings, including both standard and specialty products. Coatings have been developed for the use on food packaging in the indirect contact to dry and fat-including foodstuffs without the use of a functional or absolute barrier. They are compliant with legal requirements and meet the overall and specific migration limits. In order to fulfil customer requirements, we also offer customized coating solutions.

A very important fact about WESSCO^® Low Migration Coatings is the use of high molecular weight and/or polymerizable photoinitiators. Thus, these are much less likely to migrate into the packaged food. In addition, coatings build on higher acrylic monomers for a strong crosslinking. They do not contain benzophenone, 4-methylbenzophenone or bisphenol A intentionally. This makes WESSCO^® Low Migration Coatings the perfect choice when it comes to enhancing and protecting sensitive food packaging.
