Blister Coatings

Blister coatings that offer excellent sealing properties are the key to a perfectly working sealing process. Blister packs consist of a printed, coated blister card and a hood, which is often made of plastic.

These two elements are connected by a sealing process under pressure and heat or ultrasound. The coating film and the blister hood soften, melt and thus form a bond.

Blister coatings are used where the blister packaging should allow the purchaser to see the packaged goods. Depending on the application, a suitable blister coating must be selected.

Typical filling goods of blister packs are products for daily use (e.g., batteries), electronics or accessories as well as hygienically sensitive articles (e.g., pacifiers, toothbrushes).
